Families Empowered helps parents engage in a marketplace of schools — that is, to understand their school options and choose the right school for their child. The School Connection fair, in San Antonio on December 9, makes the process easier.
Connections Made
Sandra Sims attended the 2016 event in San Antonio, and connected with a school for her 4-year-old son Javier.
“I was connected directly to school recruiters, and it was nice to have all the schools concentrated in one place at the same time,” Sims said.
As a busy mom of four, she recognizes the unique needs in each of her kids. “Personalities and learning styles of kids are different,” Sims said. “It’s nice to have choices.”
After finding Advanced Learning Academy at the School Connection Fair, Sims applied and successfully enrolled Javier.
“We couldn’t be happier,” she added.
A One-Stop Shop
The School Connection Fair is often described as a “one-stop shop” for parents looking for school options.
Sims found the free event in San Antonio to be extremely helpful for families who are trying to navigate the school marketplace.
“I’ve told a lot my friends about it and how it helped me find great schools options,” Sims explained. “I encourage all parents who may be looking for schools to attend the School Connection Fair.”
